The working end of the waterway. Two LNG terminals, the port, fish processing, marine services and a deep supply chain of contractors, most of whom handle dangerous substances every day.
We are ten minutes away. No travel charge anywhere in Pembrokeshire, and we can usually get to an urgent one quickly.
Most of our Milford Haven work is not the major operators themselves, whose sites run their own permit regimes. It is the firms around them: tank cleaning, coatings and blasting, fabrication, scaffolding, marine fuel, waste, plant hire and inspection. Those businesses get audited by their clients, and increasingly the DSEAR assessment is asked for at pre-qualification rather than after an incident. If someone has asked for yours and you are trying to work out what they mean, ring and read us the wording.
Most sites needing DSEAR also need a fire risk assessment, and since 1 October 2023 that one must be recorded in full whatever the headcount. We do both, in one visit, written to agree with each other.
Substances, release sources, ignition sources, existing controls and the residual risk, written so an inspector and your own staff can both follow it.
