Marine engineering, fabrication and port operations, with the ferry terminal and Pembroke Port on the doorstep.
We are ten minutes over the Cleddau Bridge away. No travel charge anywhere in Pembrokeshire, and we can usually get to an urgent one quickly.
Hot work is the defining feature here. Welding, cutting, grinding and blasting alongside coatings, solvents, compressed gases and fuel systems, often in the same building and sometimes on the same day. That combination is exactly what DSEAR was written for, and it is also why hot work permits are the control we look at hardest. A permit system that stops at the workshop door does not help when the job moves outside to a vessel or a tank.
Most sites needing DSEAR also need a fire risk assessment, and since 1 October 2023 that one must be recorded in full whatever the headcount. We do both, in one visit, written to agree with each other.
Substances, release sources, ignition sources, existing controls and the residual risk, written so an inspector and your own staff can both follow it.
